"After attending the advanced workshop, our team's quarterly engagement scores rose by twenty-two points. It was the single most impactful investment we made that year."— Diane Tremblay, VP Operations, a Gatineau-based logistics firm
Leadership Workshops that reshape how you lead
At Inspire Leader Classes, we don't deliver lectures — we build leaders through immersive, cohort-driven workshops grounded in real workplace challenges. Whether you're stepping into your first management role or steering a division through transformation, our programs meet you where you are and move you forward.
Based in Gatineau, Quebec, we've spent years refining a timeline-driven methodology: each workshop follows the natural arc of leadership growth, from self-awareness through team mastery to organizational influence.

Discovering your leadership identity
Every leader carries assumptions inherited from past managers, cultural norms, and personal temperament. In this opening phase, we use structured reflection exercises and peer dialogue to surface those assumptions. Participants identify their default leadership style and map its strengths and blind spots against real scenarios from their own workplaces.
Speaking so people actually listen
Effective leadership lives or dies in communication. This phase covers high-stakes conversations, feedback loops that don't trigger defensiveness, and the art of listening as a leadership act. We practice through role-play and recorded exercises so participants can hear themselves and adjust in real time.
Navigating tension without losing trust
Conflict avoidance is the quiet killer of team performance. We teach leaders to engage with disagreement constructively, using a framework we call "tension mapping" — a visual tool for diagnosing what's really at stake beneath surface-level friction. Participants leave with a personal conflict playbook they can apply immediately.
Leading without positional authority
Many of the most important leadership moments happen when you have no formal power. This phase explores influence tactics, coalition building, and how to move ideas through complex organizations. We draw on case studies from both corporate and non-profit contexts to ensure broad applicability.
Bringing it all together in your context
The final phase is entirely project-based. Each participant designs and presents a leadership initiative they'll implement in their own organization within sixty days. Cohort members serve as peer advisors, and our facilitators provide structured feedback. This isn't hypothetical — it's a live commitment with real accountability.
Workshop map — find your fit
We offer three distinct workshop tracks, each designed for a different stage of leadership maturity. All tracks follow our timeline methodology but differ in depth, duration, and cohort composition.
| Dimension | Emerging leaders | Mid-career accelerator | Executive intensive |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ideal for | First-time managers and team leads within their first two years of formal leadership | Directors and senior managers navigating cross-functional complexity | C-suite, VPs, and founders shaping organizational culture |
| Duration | 3 half-days over 3 weeks | 5 full days across 6 weeks | 2-day retreat + 4 virtual follow-ups |
| Cohort size | 12–16 participants | 8–10 participants | 4–6 participants |
| Key method | Guided reflection + peer coaching | Case-based simulation + 360 feedback | Strategic scenario planning + board-level coaching |

Why our approach works differently
Most leadership training fails because it treats knowledge transfer as the goal. We treat behaviour change as the goal. Every exercise in our workshops is designed to create a moment of productive discomfort — the kind that rewires habits, not just adds information.
Our facilitators have led teams in healthcare, technology, government, and manufacturing. They don't teach from textbooks; they teach from scars and wins. That lived credibility is what makes participants trust the process enough to be genuinely vulnerable — and vulnerability is where leadership growth actually begins.
We also build in post-workshop accountability structures: peer triads that meet monthly, a private community channel, and optional one-on-one coaching sessions to keep momentum alive long after the workshop ends.
Organizational readiness
Before any workshop begins, we conduct a brief organizational diagnostic — a thirty-minute conversation with the sponsoring leader plus a short anonymous survey of prospective participants. This ensures we calibrate exercises to your real culture, not a generic one.
Measurement and follow-through
We track three outcome dimensions: self-reported confidence shifts, peer-observed behaviour changes, and organizational impact indicators chosen collaboratively with each client. At the ninety-day mark, we deliver a concise impact brief so you can see what moved.
Bilingual delivery
Located in the heart of the National Capital Region, we deliver workshops in both English and French. Bilingual cohorts are our specialty — we've developed facilitation techniques that honour both languages without slowing the pace or diluting the depth.
What participants walk away with
Concrete outcomes, not just good feelings. Here's what our alumni report within ninety days of completing a workshop.
A personal leadership playbook
Every participant leaves with a documented personal operating system: their values, decision-making heuristics, communication preferences, and conflict strategies — all refined through workshop exercises and peer feedback.
A trusted peer network
Cohort bonds formed during our workshops often outlast the program by years. Alumni regularly report that their cohort peers become their most trusted sounding boards for difficult leadership decisions.
Measurable team improvements
Leaders who complete our mid-career or executive tracks consistently report improvements in team meeting quality, decision speed, and psychological safety scores within their direct teams. We help you set baseline measurements before the workshop so you can track your own progress honestly.

Common questions
Can workshops be delivered on-site at our office?
Absolutely. We regularly deliver workshops at client locations across the National Capital Region and beyond. On-site delivery allows us to observe your team's natural environment, which often enriches the exercises. For locations outside Gatineau-Ottawa, travel costs are quoted separately.
What if someone on my team is sceptical about leadership training?
Scepticism is welcome — and common. Our workshops are designed to win over the doubtful through relevance, not cheerleading. We open every session with real problems, not motivational platitudes. Most sceptics become the strongest advocates by day two because they see immediate applicability to their own frustrations.
How do you handle mixed seniority levels in a cohort?
We carefully curate cohorts to ensure productive tension without power imbalances. In open-enrolment programs, we group participants by leadership stage. For private cohorts within a single organization, we design exercises that leverage hierarchy differences as learning opportunities rather than obstacles.
Is there a virtual option?
Our emerging leaders track can be delivered in a hybrid format with some virtual sessions. However, our mid-career and executive tracks are intentionally in-person because the depth of interpersonal work requires physical presence. We've tested virtual delivery extensively and found that the most transformative moments happen in the room.
What's the investment?
Pricing depends on the track, cohort size, and whether you're enrolling individuals or booking a private cohort. We provide detailed quotes after our initial conversation. As a general reference, individual enrolment in the emerging leaders track starts at a level comparable to a two-day professional conference registration.
